More Operative, More Opportunitive

Effort Rule

Knowing more makes life interesting. Listening to audio or visualizing it will all be vain if you don’t serve efforts to make it beneficial.

“Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.” Stephen King

A study was conducted by researchers in a university. There were two groups of students. Group one was asked to take handwritten notes for their subjects while group 2 was asked to take notes on computer or laptops. Group one complained about problems of taking handwritten notes and even their progress was slow while group two was satisfied. Eventually after their final exams when their results were analyzed and it was surprising. Group one students scored more than group two students.

    Researchers were surprised and they thought maybe it’s because group one spend more time on writing. After wards again the same process was repeated in which both groups were given same topics and surprise tests were conducted. Again the results were surprising as group one performance was much better than again group two performances.

   Researchers concluded a result that group one students put more efforts as they had to make hand written notes and due to these efforts there potential increased. Group two students were in relaxed mode and they had to just read and visualize the notes so they did not put any efforts. As a result a conclusion was drawn that the more efforts you serve for any purpose or goal the more you work hard and enable yourself to achieve your aims.

Self-Improvement difficulties

The main problem faced by us is that there is a lot of information for any particular topic and we visualize it but it all goes in vain as we forget it as rapidly as we learned it. It is because no efforts were served to gather the knowledge or use it. It was just like give and take and then passes on.

That’s why for self-improvement only knowing is not enough. You have to serve efforts to make it beneficial.

How to use Effort Rule

Effort rule is easy to use and interesting to apply. Remember knowing more is what makes life interesting and using it makes life better. Listening to audio books or visualizing podcasts it will be all vain if you don’t serve efforts to make it beneficial. Here are some tips to make effort use beneficial and move forward in life;

>Start taking notes for every audio book or podcast. Keep a small notepad with yourself and note interesting information.

>By exerting such efforts you will remember what you had written

>Actions speak louder than words so after getting tips imply them in your life

The main focus of effort rule is that you have to exert efforts and work hard if you want to do something great.

“The three great essentials to achieve anything worthwhile are, first, hard work; second, stick-to-itiveness; third, common sense.”

Thomas A. Edison
